Four men have been arrested by Edmonton police in connection with two separate incidents in which two men were threatened with guns in west Edmonton.
On December 8th at around 8:30 p.m., a man was allegedly approached by four people in an SUV who pointed firearms at him and then drove away. About an hour later and three blocks north, a second victim said he pulled his car into his driveway when an SUV pulled in behind him and three people inside got out, walked towards him, and demanded money while pointing firearms. The victim was then hit with a gun before the suspects left.
Two hours later, police were called about an impaired driver and attempted to do a traffic stop on the reported SUV, which fled and eventually crashed into a parked car. All four men fled the scene but were eventually taken into custody with the help of police dogs and additional evidence was recovered.
The four men, Lucius Auger, Brayden Brochu, Freddy Yellowknee, and Bo Tomkins, have been charged with prohibited weapon in a vehicle, possession of a firearm knowing possession is unauthorized, two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, and breach condition. Tomkins is also facing charges of flight from peace officer, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and failing to stop after an accident.
